L-x 2024: Landscapes Re-Used, Re-Cycled, Re-Interpreted
This series presents innovative, artistic, technically and creatively independent landscape architecture projects.
Daniel Baur founded the architecture studio Resource-Based Design at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in 2022 and shows how new design methods can be used to create architectural buildings and open spaces from 100% reusable components. He has already completed a number of projects with his firm Bryum. In his lecture, he highlights the problems associated with implementing climate targets in the building and landscape sector, shows how these targets can be implemented in a design-oriented way, explains how the (landscape) architecture competition needs to change, and demonstrates that resource-based (landscape) architecture has the same quality as to design and to build with new resources.
